Other Events during 2005
Tony Delaney, former Toomevara player, took over as manager of the Senior team. He departed after
the SHC defeat by Camross in the group stages and John O' Sullivan took over as trainer.

Castletown won their third O' Brady Cup (ACHL Division 1) Final, defeating Camross in the final played
in Mountrath. Tony Delaney was in charge for this win.

In the Senior Championship, an opening round draw with Mountrath was followed by the defeat of
Kilcotton before Camross beat us in the third round. Castletown recovered to beat Tinnahinch and take
a quarter final berth.
In the quarter final The Harps were beaten in Rathdowney and in somewhat of an "upset" the defending
champions Portlaoise dispatched in the semi final.
After a replay, Castletown beat Camross in the final 1-8 to 0-10 on Monday October 31st.
The drawn game, on Sunday October 23rd, had finished Castletown 0-13 Camross 1-10.
In the Leinster Championship Castletown travelled to Arklow and beat Glenealy 2-16 to 2-10, but were
easily beaten by James Stephens 5-14 to 0-8 in the semi final.
